My name is Matthew Carreira, and I specialize in healthcare administration and management. With over 13 years of experience in medical administrative management, I am adept at enhancing the revenue, expenses, and net profit of medical organizations through strategic management and planning techniques. This goal can be achieved through the application of various strategic management and planning methodologies. Effective communication across all areas of a medical organization is crucial for success. Establishing a clear vision of philosophies and goals is essential to guide your team towards successful operations.

I served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Center for Pediatric Medicine for 10 years, where I manage a multi-million-dollar Pediatric Medical Group. This group includes 16 providers, including Pediatricians, APRNs, PAs, a Lactation Consultant, and a Nutritionist, operating across multiple locations throughout Connecticut with a total workforce of seventy plus employees. Throughout my tenure, I have consistently found inefficiencies in health care administration across various specialties. My goal is to analyze the operations of a healthcare organization and develop strategic methodologies to enhance processes and workflows while reducing waste.

I graduated from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor’s degree in health science and a minor in Business. Additionally, I obtained a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of New Haven.

What contributions can I bring to your organization? My experience enables me to improve both operational and financial performance. Additionally, I can enhance staffing and human resources, ensure compliance, boost productivity, conduct cost analysis, and drive business development (including expansion plans and new offices). Furthermore, I am adept at managing informational technology, clinical managed care, reducing overhead costs, improving customer service, strategic planning, marketing, and optimizing revenue cycle management.

I am a self-driven individual with exceptional organizational abilities and a proven ability to perform effectively under pressure. In a professional context, I aim to exemplify hard work and integrity within the workplace. My effective communication and teamwork skills will be actively applied in interactions with physicians, employees, and patients. I aspire to assume a leadership role in the healthcare environment, offering guidance and management to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality of care.
